The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on the first floor of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room has an open floor plan with comfortable seating, a small kitchen area and a computer station with internet access. Refreshments are available courtesy of supporters from the community.


Coffee Hour

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Family Room hosts Coffee Hour. This is a special time when families have the opportunity to gather for refreshments and fellowship with others. Bruegger’s in Lexington graciously sponsors Coffee Hour.


Make and Take

When families spend countless hours at the hospital it is easy to get overwhelmed and stressed. Therefore, we host Make and Takes throughout the year. This is a time for families to socialize with others, while working on a fun project that they are able to finish in a short amount of time. .



Pet Therapy

There are countless benefits to Pet Therapy within a hospital setting and we are proud to offer this program to our guests at the Family Room. This program is provided every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features a variety of therapy dog teams.
