The 5th Annual McDonald's of Camden Sporting Clays Tournament was a great success which helped to raise more than $12,000 to directly benefit the families who call our House their Home during their time of need. The decision of our High Point shooter came down to a shoot off after Ron Hess of Buckhead, GA and Mike Sellers of Darlington, SC scored a 95. Mike Sellers ended up on top with Ron Hess winning Lewis Class A, Phillip Watkins winning 2nd place in Lewis Class A and Jim Finkel winning 3rd in Lewis Class A.
Branson Bruce won 1st place in Lewis Class B with 13-year-old Ladson Carter close behind and 16-year-old Christopher Hopkins brought in 3rd place to wrap up the second Lewis Class. The McDonald's of Camden team led Lewis Class C with Jeff Teter in first and Dean Whitten bringing in third, but Barry Johns of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina managed to squeeze in between them for 2nd place. Ladson Carter of Hartsville, SC won the Junior category with a 78 and Amy Cantey led the women with an 84, for the second year in a row!
We truly appreciate all of our sponsors, supporters and participants for helping to make this event such a success! A special thank you goes out to McDonald's of Camden, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Brabham Fence and Clay Delay for their generous sponsorship. We hope you will all join us again next year for the 6th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament! Be on the look out for dates!
