Internship Program

Marketing and Event Planning Intern

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Columbia, SC offers internship positions each semester to assist with non-profit event and fundraising endeavors, as well as other duties as assigned. Interns must be reliable and comfortable working in a variety of settings. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and some experience in fundraising or event planning is preferred. Interns will assist with writing creating graphics and promotional material, soliciting donations, interacting with event sponsors and donors and cultivating new relationships with supporters while learning the importance of implementing, planning and executing events.

The Events and Marketing Intern is part of the RMHC Columbia, SC internship program and is an unpaid, temporary, part-time or full-time intern seeking college class credit at the completion of the semester-long program.

Placement of the event planning interns will be at the discretion of the Marketing and Development Manager, and will depend upon mentor availability and student qualifications.

Ronald McDonald House Intern

The Ronald McDonald House Columbia, SC offers internship positions each semester to assist with daily operations of the Ronald McDonald House, as well as other duties as assigned. Interns must be reliable and comfortable working in a variety of settings and with various groups of people. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are required, as well as the ability and willingness to carry out day-to-day tasks, including, but not limited to, interacting with guest families, providing direction for volunteers, checking guest families in and out and preparing rooms for incoming guests.
